After the annoucement we brought you earlier in the week (LINK) regarding Patrick Wolf's decision to release his forthcoming return, Battle, via the Bandstocks model and his Bloody Camber Music imprint, the elfin pop sensation has been speaking candidly on camera about how he reached the verdict following the 2007 release The Magic Position through Polydor.
Wolf reveals how the Bloody Chamber Music label was initially no more than a home for his burgeoning back-catalogue and perhaps an opportunity to release others' music. But when finding out about Bandstocks - a means of releasing a record he declares as "the beginning of the future for artists and musicians" - the 25-year-old maestro realised the wealth of creative freedom now open to him having a greater level of independence and a heightened relationship between him and his fans that could be developed.
